The DC budget should reflect our priorities and values as a city.

Each year, the DC budget reflects important decisions over how to best meet the city’s needs: schools, transportation, housing, health care, and job training, to name a few. DCFPI works to ensure that the city’s resources are used as effectively as possible for the things that are most important to residents, particularly services that expand economic opportunity for low-income residents. DCFPI is the leading independent source of information on the DC budget, and we strive to make the budget process easy to understand, so that everyone can participate in conversations about how to make it work for all residents.
