DCFPI Welcomes Heather Lavoie to Our Team!

DCFPI is thrilled to welcome Heather Lavoie, our communications and advocacy intern, to our team!

Heather graduated in 2019 from Southern Connecticut State University with a degree in Public Health. After graduating, she completed a year of service as an AmeriCorps VISTA with Hawaii Children’s Action Network as their Policy, Training, and Community Engagement Coordinator.  

Heather is passionate about racial justice and trying to eliminate health disparities through policy work. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and reading.
