This contains the proposed FY 2010 budget documents, the Budget Support Act, and prior year budget documents. The website also contains the Mayor’s FY 2010 Children’s Budget, budget briefs on selected topics, and other important supplemental documents to help place the budget in context.
Recovery.dc.gov
Recovery.dc.gov is a clearinghouse of information on federal stimulus funding awards to various District agencies and information on competitive stimulus grants the District has applied for. There is also a section for suggestions on how residents think stimulus funds should be spent.
Office of Chief Financial Officer’s Budget Page
The OCFO’s budget page contains links to the current budget, the FY 2010 baseline budget, and an archive of prior year budgets dating back to FY 2001.
Office of the Chief Financial Officer’s Revenue Forecast
Four times a year – February, May, September, and December – the OCFO issues a revenue forecast for the current fiscal year and next four fiscal years. The February revenue forecast sets the groundwork for the Mayor’s proposed budget. Should the forecast get higher or lower throughout the year, DC officials may have to pass supplemental budgets to account for any surplus or deficits the District may face.

Office of the Budget Director for the DC Council
The webpage of the Office of the Budget Director in the DC Council contains many important documents on the DC budget. In particular, the website contains links to committee budget reports and contract approvals and reprogrammings. In addition the DC Council website posts the questions posed by each Council committee to agencies as part of the performance and budget oversight hearings, as well as the agencies’ answers. Performance Plans and Reports
Each year, the City Administrator publishes reports for each agency on its performance in the prior year, as well as performance plans that lay out goals, objectives, and initiatives for the upcoming year.
Budget Hearing Schedule
Between March 23 and April 27, each DC Council committee will hold a hearing on the proposed budgets for the agencies the committee oversees. The committees will then hold “mark-up” votes to modify the Mayor’s budget proposal between April 28 and April 30. A vote on the full budget will be held on May 12.
